Getting GLOBALGAP Certification in Kenya

Now that we have discussed the importance of GLOBALGAP certification as a requisite or launching your sweet potato produce globally, like promised before, I will be giving information on some of the globalGAP certification bodies in Kenya.

AfriCERT is the leaders in the certification of agricultural produce in the country. To request verification, visit their website and present a request for certification. The body will then send you an information pack containing certification requirements and an application form for you to fill in the required information.


Your application will be reviewed for compliance and if you are compliant, a contract will be signed. This will be followed by an inspection on your farm by a qualified staff from the certification body, AfriCERT. You can then be issued a registration number or if possible a GGN number.
